Over a period of 8 months, my health declined to the point of being bedridden. Conventional western medicine was not helping. I finally had a diagnosis of RA and I was prescribed methotrexate. I felt worse while taking it. I knew there had to be a better way to regain my health. I met with Dr Aman and after she read my original lab work, she felt I was having inflammation, but did not have RA. I followed her complete recommendations. I’ve changed my diet, added the supplements suggested, met with Elena for counseling to learn to manage my pain, Melanie to learn what foods to avoid and what to incorporate, and Matthew for acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Even when I didn’t fully understand how all this was going to work, I trusted the process. I slowly saw improvement. My brain fog lifted, my energy returned, my swollen joints subsided, and my pain is 90 percent gone after 6 months of following what was recommended for me and my symptoms. When I came to Restore in January, I could barely get out of bed and function, every joint in my body hurt, my muscles felt like lead. Six months later I was back in my barn and working with my horses in the Summer heat. This is just the beginning of the new me! Oh,and that RA diagnosis…let’s just say my X-rays and blood work DO NOT support that previous opinion. I am so thankful for Restore Center for Intergrative Medicine. I have my life back.
